Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) is a vital tool in reservoir engineering to analyze the reservoir behavior and well performance. This paper describes the development of a Python-based workflow for the interpretation of pressure transient tests in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. In the present study, two Algerian wells are studied, the OMM-33 oil well in the Hassi Messaoud field, and the TXNO-02 gas well in the Ain T’Sila field. Semi-log analysis, log-log derivative analysis and Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) methods were used to estimate permeability, skin factor and well productivity. The results indicated that the OMM-33 well behaves as a conventional radial flow well with moderate formation damage. On the other hand, the TXNO-02 well showed complex flow regimes related to tight gas reservoirs and low permeability formations. The developed Python workflow successfully provided interpretation results comparable with the KAPPA Saphir software, to demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of the workflow in the reservoir characterization and productivity evaluation.en_US
