The Impact of Digital Transformation on Efficiency in Economic Institutions: A Case Study of GCB in Boumerdes

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital transformation on efficiency within economic institutions, focusing on the National Company for Civil Engineering and Construction (GCB) in Boumerdes as a case study. The research aims to explore the reality of adopting digital tools and analyze their role in improving organizational performance and the flow of information among various departments (Finance, IT, HR, and Communication). The study relies on the descriptive approach, using direct observation and semi-structured interviews as primary data collection tools during the internship period. The results indicate that digital transformation contributes positively to increasing efficiency by accelerating administrative processes, reducing human errors, and enhancing data transparency, which supports accurate and rapid decision-making within the institution

تتناول هذه الدراسة أثر التحول الرقمي على الكفاءة داخل المؤسسات الاقتصادية، مع التركيز على الشركة الوطنية للهندسة المدنية والبناء (GCB) ببومرداس كدراسة حالة. هدفت الدراسة إلى استكشاف واقع تبني الأدوات الرقمية وتحليل دورها في تحسين الأداء التنظيمي وسرعة تدفق المعلومات بين مختلف المصالح (المالية، الإعلام الآلي، الموارد البشرية، والاتصال). اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي، واستُخدمت الملاحظة المباشرة والمقابلات نصف الموجهة كأدوات أساسية لجمع البيانات خلال فترة التربص وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن التحول الرقمي يساهم بشكل إيجابي في رفع مستوى الكفاءة من خلال تسريع العمليات الإدارية، تقليل الأخطاء البشرية وتعزيز الشفافية في تداول البيانات مما يدعم اتخاذ قرارات دقيقة وسريعة داخل المؤسسة
