The current study aims to identify symbolic self-completion among a sample of adolescent girls addicted to social media by asking the following question: How is symbolic self-completion manifested among adolescent girls addicted to social media? To answer the study question and achieve its objectives, a clinical approach based on a case study was adopted. Two participants, aged 16 and 17, were selected based on their high scores on Zahraa Malik's (2022) Social Media Addiction Scale. Data were collected through semi-structured clinical interviews and using Al-Ubaidi's (2021) Symbolic Self-Completion Scale. After quantitative and qualitative analysis of the instruments and analysis of the results, the study concluded the following: Symbolic self-completion among the study sample is manifested in the adoption of symbolic consumption behaviors, with differences between the two cases in how it is expressed. In the first instance, it appeared as a compensatory mechanism to demonstrate distinction and social status, while in the second instance, it appeared as a compensatory mechanism to alleviate feelings of inadequacy and dissatisfaction by consuming symbols of achievement lacking in real life on social mediaen_US
