Abstract: The development of electric vehicles (EVs) poses new challenges to integrated communication systems. This stems from the increasing number of electronic components and their reliance on multiple communication protocols, including SPI, LIN, CAN, FlexRay, and MOST, to ensure efficient and reliable data exchange between subsystems. This work presents the design and implementation of an embedded prototype with its communication system for an EV, such as the windshield wipers system for cleaning the EV's windows. This prototype enables the communication of key electronic components, including a wiper motor, sensors, and a pump. The objective is to improve safety, reduce driver fatigue, and display the wiper motor's operating states to the user on a screen. In this study, we evaluated the response times of the rain sensor, the button sensor, the pump, and the motor using the CAN protocol. We also optimized the system's efficiency by designing a printed circuit board (PCB) for the prototype.
