Abstract

The aim of this study is to clarify the concepts related to each of the Islamic Waqf and sustainable development, and the active role played by the principles and mechanisms of governance in increasing the efficiency of the performance of institutions, of Awqaf, and demonstrate the impact of the moratorium on the economy and the Algerian society, and highlight the importance of its governance in achieving their sustainability And concluded the necessity of commitment to the highest degree of headmasters of Awqaf to disclose activities, programs and operations and the social and financial performance by issuing annual reports, where transparency is gaining importance in achieving effective governance in the institution of Waqf in being a tool to evaluate the performance of the institution and headmasters،And the adoption of specialized skills, and this is to ensure the seriousness and efficiency in the management of Algerian Awqaf, which has been going for a long time a way that is effective, but also delayed upgrade of Awqaf, consistent with the standards of modern scientific management.
