VICTOR HUGO ET L’ORIENT : « LECTURES CROISEES, OCCIDENTALES ET ORIENTALES »

Abstract

À travers ce travail de recherche nous avons tenté de relever les différentes représentations de l’Orient dans trois œuvres poétiques de l’écrivain orientaliste Victor Hugo Odes et Ballades, Les Orientales, La Légende des siècles ; puis nous les avons examinées sous le regard critique occidental et oriental contemporain, en appliquant à la fois deux approches critiques : l’imagologie et la théorie de réception de Jauss. Cette étude s’inscrit dans le cadre des études comparatistes ; elle se justifie par le contexte critique contemporain qui retourne à l’étude de l’orientalisme littéraire savant, tout en voulant chercher un nouveau discours humaniste entre l’Orient et l’Occident au sein de tous les conflits idéologiques et identitaires actuels qui séparent les deux continents.

من خلال هذا البحث حاولنا تحديد مختلف تمثيليات الشرق في ثلاثة أعمالشعرية للكاتب المستشرق فيكتور هوجو :قصائد و اغاني ,شرقيات , أسطورةالقرون , وبعدها قمنا بمعاينة هذه الاعمال من خلال وجهة نظر النقد الغربي و الشرقي , باستخدام , فينفسالوقت , منهجين نقديين : التمثلية و نظرية القراءة لياوس . هذا البحث يندرج في اطار الدراسات المقارنة , ويمكن تبريره بالسياق النقد الادبي اللذي يرجع الى دراسة الاستشراق الادبي الاكاديمي , و ذللك بهدف ايجاد خطاب انساني جديد بين الشرق و الغرب في خضم كل صراعات الاديولوجيا و الهوية اللتي تفرق بين القارتين.

I tried through this research to identify the various representations of the Orient in three poetic products of the Orientalist writer Victor Hugo which are: Odes et Ballades, Les Orientales, La Légende des siècles and to examine them from Western criticism and the contemporary oriental one, using at the same time two critical approaches: imagology and the theory of reception of Jauss. This study is a component of comparative studies. Its justification is the contemporary critical context that stems from the study of the literary scholarly Orientalism, while aiming to put the end on a new humanist discourse between the East and the West within all current ideological and identitied conflicts that separate the two continents.
