The Hamra quartzite reservoir in the Hassi Guettar peripheral zone of the Hassi Massoud field is a good example of a compact reservoir; it is characterized by a low porosity but above all an extremely low permeability. This reservoir generally requires a hydraulic fracturing treatment to improve its petrophysical characteristics, but before that, an attempt must be made to study stress to locate the areas to be fractured using the techlog software. The interpretation of the stress profiles and the ELANS makes it possible to determine the favorable zones with a great deal of precision.en_US
