Abstract: The purpose of this study is to present the effectiveness of a counseling program to reduce the phenomenon of school drop-out among some 4th Year secondary school. We used the experimental method precisely a para - experimental procedure of a single group with anterior and posterior measurement. The main sample of research is composed of 25 4th grade secondary school students of in MyZiadaa M'Sila; and who had high averages on the probability of school dropout test. We had applied two tools: probability of drop-out of school test, and cognitive-behavioral counseling program . The results of this study showed the effectiveness of this program to reduce the phenomenon of school dropout.
