In this work, we studied the chemical composition of a sample of rocks located between Ouargla and Hassi Messaoud in Algeria at the geographical position (31.8025,05.5395), the prepared samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, by infrared spectroscopy to obtain the absorption spectrum (FTIR) and also by the X-ray fluorescence technique (XRF), the latter is given the percentage of the chemical elements in our samples, it was found that, the highest percentage is silicon (21.82%), the oxidation of silicon gives the quartz, the presence of the quartz is well confirmed by the technique of the XRD, which gave the crystalline structure of the quartz, the FTIR spectroscopy gives the functional group of the samples, and allowed us to classify our sample in sedimentary rocks. Key words :XRD, XRF, FTR, rocks, crystalline materials
