Abstract: This research paper aims to study the legal system to motivate the public employee in Algeria through extrapolation and deduction of the various legal texts that the Algerian legislator has put in place in the Basic Law for the Public Service and other regulatory texts to motivate the public employee financially and morally, and through which it was found that the material motivation of this employee is limited to Various financial aspects related to his salary, promotion, training, compensation, grant, retirement rights and social protection, in exchange for his moral motivation being limited to various badges, honors, awards, distinguished badges, medals of merit, bravery and other ministerial certificates granted to him by the competent authorities, during his life or after his death After he exposes himself to danger while performing his duties, or after performing qualitative work that serves the public interest, or after his dedication to perform his duties during his career
