Abstract

This work aims to clarify the concept of locally convex spaces (X, τ) and semi-normed spaces (X, P) and to compare between them by forming the topology τp induced by semi-normed P defined on the vector space X. Then, we specify the properties that distinguish locally convex spaces from topological vector spaces in the general case
