Abstract: There are various types of damage that can occur in oil and gas wells, either related to production or to well intervention operations such as drilling, workover, completion, and stimulation. Acidizing is a technique used to improve the productivity or injectivity of oil and gas wells by injecting acid into the formation to remove damage near the wellbore that can reduce well productivity. The treatment fluids are injected at a pressure lower than the rock's fracturing pressure limit. Matrix acidizing has been successfully applied in several wells studied, such as bis1 in the ODZ field, resulting in a significant increase in production throughput.
