Contribution à l’étude des activités antibactérienne et antioxydante de l’huile essentielle de l’Armoise blanche (Artemisia herba alba)

Abstract

The white wormwood "Artemisia herba alba" is a medicinal and aromatic plant used for a long time in traditional Algerian medicine. This study is a contribution to the evaluation of the biological activities (antibacterial and antioxidant) of the essential oil extracted from the aerial part of white wormwood (Artemisia herba alba) of Aouinet Moussa, in the wilaya of Ouargla, was obtained by hydro-distillation, The yield obtained in l’HEs is around 1.80%, the analysis of the l’HEs has shown that its organoleptic characteristics (the appearance , color, odor) and physicochemical (refractive index, acid index, density, pH) comply with standards. The antioxidant activity of essential oils is carried out by the DPPH test (2,2-diphenyl-1-1-picrirylhydrazil), the results show an antioxidant power with an IC50 of 21.08 μg/ml, the aromatogram method shows that the essential oil of Artemisia herba alb has antibactérial activity against the microorganisms tested, namely Staphylococcus aureus (10.5 mm), Escherichia_ coli (13.5 mm), Enterobacteriaceae (15.5 mm), on the other hand Staphylococcus Blac is resistant. Overall the results obtained are promising and open new perspectives in the field of natural applications which can be a valid alternative to replace chemical products.

L’armoise blanche « Artemisia herba alba » est une plante médicinale est aromatique utilisée depuis longtemps dans la médecine traditionnelle algérienne. Cette étude est une contribution à l’évaluation des activités biologiques (antibactérienne et antioxydante) de l’huile essentielle extraite à partir de la partie aérienne de l’armoise blanche (Artemisia herba alba) de la région de Aouinet Moussa , dans la wilaya de Ouargla, a été obtenue par hydro-distillation , Le rendement obtenue en l’HEs est de l’ordre de 1,80 % , l’analyse de l’HEs a montré que ses caractéristiques organoleptiques (l’aspect, la couleur, l’odeur) et physicochimiques (lindice de réfraction, l’indice d’acide, densité, le pH) sont conformes aux normes. L’activité antioxydante de l’HEs est réalisée par le test du DPPH (2,2– diphenyl-1-1-picrirylhydrazil), les résultats montrent un pouvoir antioxydant avec une IC 50 de 21,08 μg/ml, La méthode des aromatogrammes montre que l’huile essentielle de l’Artemisia herba alb a une activité antibactérienne contre les microorganismes testés à savoir les Staphylococcus aureus (10,5 mm), Escherichia_ coli (13,5 mm) , Entérobactérie (15,5 mm) , par contre les Staphylococcus Blac est résistante . Dans l’ensemble les résultats obtenus sont prometteurs et ouvrent de nouvelles perspectives dans le domaine des applications naturelles qui peuvent être une alternative valable pour remplacer les produits chimiques
