Abstract

This study delves into historical film subtitling, focusing on the intri-cate relationship between linguistic authenticity, historical fidelity, and cultural representation. Divided into three chapters, it covers theory and practical applications. Chapter 1 examines the importance of linguistic accuracy and challenges in maintaining authenticity. Chapter 2 compares dubbing and subtitling, emphasizing audience involvement and cultural fidelity. Chapter 3 conducts empirical analysis on the film "The Last Queen," applying Gottlieb's typology to assess language, historical, and cultural balance. Overall, the study contributes to understanding the complexities of historical subtitling.

Cette étude explore le sous-titrage des films historiques, en se concen-trant sur la relation complexe entre l'authenticité linguistique et historique, et la représentation culturelle. Divisée en trois chapitres, elle couvre la théorie et les applications pratiques. Le chapitre 1 examine l'importance de l'exactitude linguistique et les défis de maintien de l'authenticité. Le chapitre 2 compare le doublage et le sous-titrage, en mettant l'accent sur l'implication du public et la fidélité culturelle. Le chapitre 3 réalise une analyse empirique en utilisant "La Dernière Reine", en appliquant la typologie de Gottlieb pour évaluer l'équilibre entre langue, histoire et culture. Dans l'ensemble, l'étude contribue à la compréhension des complexités du sous-titrage historique.

تتناول هذه الدراسة سترجة الأفلام التاريخية، مع التركيز على الخليط المتجانس بين الأصالة اللغوية و الأمانة التاريخية والتمثيل الثقافي. تنقسم الدراسة إلى ثلاثة فصول، منها النظرية و منها التطبيقية. يتطرق الفصل الأول أهمية الدقة اللغوية والتحديات في الحفاظ على الأصالة اللغوية. يحتوي الفصل الثاني على مقارنة بين الدبلجة والسترجة، بالإضافة إلى إدراج الجمهور والوفاء الثقافي. يجري الفصل الثالث تحليلًا تجريبيًا باستخدام فيلم "الملكة الأخيرة" عينة، بتطبيق أستراتيجيات Gottlieb لتقييم التوازن بين اللغة والتاريخ والثقافة. بشكل عام، تساهم الدراسة في فهم تعقيدات العمل على سترجة الأفلام التاريخية.
