Abstract: This study aims to simulate the steady, turbulent, forced, and incompressible flow of pseudoplastic fluid, in confined jet, from a nozzle. The numerical resolution is based on the finite volume method, using the software ANSYS FLUENT 2025 . The similarity between this study and the reality of drilling mud jetting from a drill bit nozzle appears in the geometric sizing of the nozzle and the jet domain. the choice of two nozzles, each corresponding to specific drilling phase assigned to the boundary conditions, such as the speed and temperature at the nozzle entrance and the wall temperatures that confine this jetting. The main objective of this study was to understand the behaviour of the fluid in a jet at the bottom of the open hole, The streamlines and the curves of velocity, pressure, and temperature obtained were showed good agreement with existing telecentres.
