| Abstract: | The executive auuthority of the Fifth French Republic has taken on an active role in implementing its programs, both on the part of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, unlike the Fourth Republic. The transformation it has undergone since 1986, in the context of "COHABIATION," has strengthened its role in the democratic sphere and the respect of rights and freedoms. However, the inability of "alliances" to obtain sometimes the majority necessary to form a government in the National Assembly can cause instability and compromise the country's interests. The instability that France has experienced under Macron, particularly after the 2024 legislative elections, gives the impression that the Constitution of the Fifth Republic has become incapable of finding solutions for the political regime. It is in this perspective that the objective of this study emerges, which aims to highlight the inability of the executive to adapt to new developments in society |
