Abstract: In summary, this work aims to characterize the reservoir fluids of the Rhourde Nouss Central (RNC) TAGS reservoir using the Black Oil Model and laboratory PVT data. The study involved analyzing reservoir fluid properties, reviewing phase behavior and Black Oil modeling concepts, and calibrating Differential Liberation (DL) test data using PVTP software. The developed model was successfully matched with laboratory measurements, showing good agreement for key parameters such as the solution gas–oil ratio (Rs), oil formation volume factor (Bo), gas formation volume factor (Bg), and fluid viscosities. The results confirmed the condensate-rich nature of the reservoir and demonstrated the ability of the Modified Black Oil Model to accurately reproduce the pressure-dependent behavior of reservoir fluids. These findings highlight the importance of accurate PVT characterization for reservoir management, production forecasting, and hydrocarbon recovery optimization.
