This study aims to analyze the impact of Word of Mouth on the selection of health services, through a case study of El-Dhiya Hospital in the obstetrics and gynecology department. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach, where data were collected from a sample of (60) patients using a questionnaire, focusing on the dimensions of word of mouth, namely source, content, intensity, and its positive and negative aspects. The study found a statistically significant correlation between word of mouth and the selection of health services, except for the “source” dimension, which did not show a statistically significant relationship. The results also showed that the content, intensity, and positive or negative nature of word of mouth have a direct impact on patients’ choice of health services, where positive experiences increase the demand for the hospital, while negative experiences lead to avoidance. Furthermore, hypothesis testing results confirmed the acceptance of the main hypothesis and the sub-hypotheses related to content, intensity, and positivity/negativity of word of mouth, while the relationship regarding the source dimension was not confirmed. The hypothesis related to the absence of statistically significant differences according to personal variables such as age, marital status, professional status, educational level, and spouse’s occupation was also accepted. The study recommended that health institutions should focus on improving service quality and enhancing communication with patients in order to promote positive experiences that strengthen their reputation and competitiveness
