Abstract: The cementing operation is one of the most important procedures in the construction and development of oil wells; however, sometimes problems arise during the job and lead to unsatisfactory results. One such case that we studied was the cementing of the 7" liner in well TAOSW#1. After drilling the 8"1/2 phase and setting the Liner Hanger, the cementing operation began with the pumping of fluids according to the cementing program. The entire calculated volume was pumped; however, the final pressure bump, which indicates the end of the cementing operation, was not achieved. Our analysis of the logs (CBL, VDL, USIT), along with the cementing chart and verification of the results, revealed poor cementing of the 7" liner and allowed us to identify the source of the problem. Then to remedy this problem, a remedial cement job was carried out.
