| Abstract: | The study aimed to measure the level of aspiration among doctoral students enrolled at Amar Telidji University in Laghouat, and to identify whether there are statistically significant differences in the levels of aspiration according to gender (male/female) and employment status (employed/unemployed students). The study sample consisted of 38 doctoral students selected randomly. The Level of Aspiration Scale developed by Kamilia Abdel-Fattah (1975) was used as the data collection instrument, after verifying its validity and reliability through various psychometric methods. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22. The results indicated that the level of aspiration among doctoral students was high. Statistically significant differences were found in the level of aspiration in favor of female students in terms of gender, and in favor of unemployed students in terms of employment status |
